COBRA notices and deadlines, run by the employer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

COBRAChamp is a COBRA tool for employers on the CompliChamp platform. Employers run their own COBRA work in it, and AFAS does not act as the COBRA administrator. It drafts seven COBRA notices, including the Election Notice, and records each mailing with a certificate of mailing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It tracks the 44-day election notice deadline, the 60-day election period, the 45-day initial premium and the 30-day grace period. Beneficiaries make their elections in a self-service portal. Employees can submit their COBRA payments in COBRAChamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plan testing plus forms and notices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Toolkit holds Nondiscrimination Testing and our forms and notices solution. Upload a census and it identifies highly compensated and key employees, then runs the Internal Revenue Code tests for Section 125, 105(h), 129, 127 and 79 plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Test at mid-year while there’s still time to make changes. For forms and notices, AFAS maintains the notices employers have to distribute, including the FMLA general notice, the CHIP notice, the GINA notice and the Medicare Part D creditable coverage notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
